A Bluetooth Keyboard for the iPhone?

Ped StandNow that the SDK has been announced and everyone is either busy announcing products or putting in their wish lists for products, here is one more that I would like to see.

How about a Bluetooth Keyboard and text entry program for the iPhone.  How nice would it be to use one of these cool Ped3 Stands and a mini bluetooth keyboard for the iPhone to turn your iPhone in to a mini road monitor and use the phone  as a true  mobile computer. The SDK can provide a slick data entry application that works well with other iPhone applications for the import and export of text.

So let’s say I have several contacts to enter:

  • I grab the iPhone place it on the Ped3.
  • Get bluetooth going to the keyboard.
  • Tell the Data Entry application that I want to enter contacts in to the iPhone.
  • Start typing the data in to the fields.
  • Hit export.
  • And the contact is exported from the data entry app to the  contacts application.

There could be tons of uses for this and it would really make the iPhone a true power house for data entry for those times you are in the field and do not have your laptop with you.
