With the decade rapidly drawing to a close, Open Door Networks and Project A (“We-Envision.com”) are shipping “Decade Review,” an iPhone app that provides a visual summary of key world events from 2000-2009. Drawing from news and other Web sites, the app lets users view full-screen “Web shows” of the happenings that shaped the past ten years, indexed by either date or subject. For a more thorough understanding, users can also delve into Wikipedia-based details of the events.
The app highlights 75 key world events, including:

- The “Miracle on the Hudson” of 2009

“Decade Review” is based on We-Envision.com’s acclaimed iEnvision Web-image browser, which is also the basis for the companies’ line of nearly 100 “Envi” Web-image browsing apps. iEnvision was a first-day iPhone app, hailed as one of the “Top 10 iPhone apps to show off with.” Taking advantage of the iPhone’s built-in Internet access and high-resolution multi-touch display, Envi apps organize Web-based images into full-screen automated slideshows and scrolling thumbnail views.
