‘HOLIDAYFLING’ APP ENCOURAGES TOURISTS TO HAVE FUN IN THE SUN
ABERDEEN, UK – We’ve had the vacation. We’ve had the staycation. Now an app launched today (Tuesday 16th August 2011) by an Aberdeen IT Administrator invites tourists to have a foreign-ication.
Billy Somshor spotted a gap in the market and decided to create an app making it easy for holidaymakers to get it on while abroad.
The app allows users to search for like-minded tourists staying in the same areas while on holiday.
Like a conventional dating website, users can then private message each other to arrange a holiday hook up.
Travellers can access the software on their iPhones or iPods. They can also sign up for free using their Facebook account via the website – http://www.holidayfling.co.uk
“HolidayFling is a must-have app for anyone who wants their trip to go with a bang,” said Billy, who studied Computer Network Management at Robert Gordon University.
“I thought of the idea after a night at the pub with my mates planning our next lads weekend to Ibiza.”
“Most of them are single and looking for fun in the sun so I came up with an easy way for them to find people with similar ideas.”
HolidayFling can be downloaded on Apple’s App Store, costing £0.69, and via the web at http://itunes.com/apps/holidayfling
The app is also available on the Android App Market, costing £0.69, and via the web at https://market.android.com/details?id=com.holidayfling.app&feature=search_result
