iWatchLife Smart Video Monitoring: Watch Your Webcam or IP Camera from Any iOS Device

Ottawa, ON/San Francisco, CA, August 15, 2011 – iWatchLife, developers of a smart video monitoring system that combines better event detection to reduce false alerts and lower-bandwidth security camera software, has released an iWatchLife iOS app for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad . The application, currently available in the App Store, lets users access their live camera views, detected events and recorded video from any iOS 4.0 or later iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, 3rd generation or 4th generation iPod touch or any iPad.

“There is no doubt that the future of video security is going to revolve around mobile devices,” said Charles Black, President & CEO, iWatchLife. “We are pleased to be able to offer our customers the peace of mind they get from using iWatchLife from anywhere on their iOS devices.”

iWatchLife’s iOS app allows first-time users access to a demo account that shows select live camera views and the associated events detected for those cameras. If the user wants to try iWatchLife with his or her own webcam, iWatchLife can be installed on a desktop or laptop PC allowing access to the advanced features of iWatchLife’s Plus service with no obligation for 30 days.

iWatchLife on average requires less than 3 minutes for set up and works with any webcam as well as with two models of Axis™ IP camera available directly from iWatchLife. iWatchLife’s IP cameras have wireless capability for added convenience.
