MUZINE – Personalized Music News & Artist Profiles for the iPad

Muzine: Music magazine for the iPadiPad app creator and music industry executive Jim Cannella of CannellaCo, LLC launches the first iPad app dedicated to music news. Muzine is designed to be the comprehensive source for artist stories and in-depth profiles presented in a magazine format. Muzine  draws inspiration from the most innovative newsreaders and emerging digital magazine category, but focuses entirely on music and gives the fan control of the editorial experience.

Download the app, priced at $1.99, and a curated “Features” section loads with engaging multimedia stories from the music landscape. The cross-section includes everything from top-tier publications and dailies to blogs large and small, covering a range of topics about developing music trends, buzz bands, and major live event coverage. Content is culled from thousands of media sources.

Use the “Search” function to explore detailed artist profiles, complete with bios, photos, videos, tour dates, and suggestions of similar bands. The user can import artist selections from their existing song library. The standout feature of Muzine is the “My News” section, where the fan controls the content. “My News” automatically updates 24/7 with a thorough list of news articles and other media about their preferred artists.

Muzine was created with user flexibility and design in mind. Any article can be shared via Facebook and Twitter or saved to a Favorites page. Registering allows users to connect and share their Favorites with each other. In addition, an integrated audio player, allows users to listen to MP3s found in news articles and continue exploring without interruption. This audio player stores a track history, so the user can return and listen in the future. Combined, these features offer the ultimate music reading and listening experience.

Muzine was built from the ground up focused entirely on music. Muzine’s proprietary platform aggregates all the major music news sources, parses articles to identify the subject, band names and multimedia, and then indexes the data so it can be searched.
