NFL news comes to the iPhone

For all the football (that’s American football, sorry Europeans!) fans that double as iPhone owners out there, Plusmo has got a nice surprise in the form of Pro Football Live application.

Pro Football Live for iPhone offers continuous NFL game updates and scores, game schedules, breaking news, game-time visuals, and even advanced social features that allow users to chat live with other fans, and cheer or jeer teams and players throughout the game.

Pro Football Live features list includes the following options:
- Ability to personalize the application to follow only your favorite teams
- Team scores, schedules, drive charts, play details, ball position

- Actual game-time photos from the field
- Headline news from the Associated Press
- Box scores
- Team aggregate and individual statistics for all games
- Ability to boo rival teams and cheer favorite teams, while inviting your friends to join in
- Ability to trash talk with your friends while using the game specific chat feature
- Ability to keep tabs on which teams get the most boos and cheers as the season progresses

Pro Football Live appears to be an excellent iPhone program for those that are really serious about the NFL, and the best part is that it’s completely free. It is currently in beta stage and can be downloaded immediately from Apple’s iPhone AppStore.
