Trek Point iPhone App: Let them know you’re safe

Lakeville, Minnesota – Raging Coders today is pleased to announce Trek Point 1.0 their location sharing app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Whether you’re a long distance runner or a cyclist, going on a backpacking trip or a long road trip, Trek Point will keep your friends and family updated on your progress so they can support you or reassure themselves that you’re safe.

As you reach pre-defined checkpoints, Trek Point can be configured to send an email with your status and a link to Google Maps with your precise location. If you have a larger set of friends to keep updated, Trek Point can Tweet your progress and post to your Facebook wall as well.

Unlike other applications, YOU control how much you’re willing to share. If you would rather not share your exact location, use the advanced settings to set a larger location accuracy. But if you’re comfortable sharing more you can also share your real-time position by authorizing Trek Point to post location updates to Google Latitude for you.

Updates are already planned for Trek Point, adding additional integration with popular social platforms, which will make the app even more valuable. All current app owners will receive subsequent updates for free once they are released. For more information and screenshots, visit the iTunes App Store or the Trek Point product page ate the Raging Coders website.
