Twittelator Pro is a Twitter client produced by Stone Design Corp. that is full of options while still keeping the interface functional. Users can tweet, @reply and ‘favorite’ other people’s posts all within the application with just a touch of a button.
The functionality alone makes this Twitter client a good choice. From the simplicity of posting tweets to browsing through your friends’ followers, this application is stable and smooth.
Tweeting is a simple process. There is a button at the bottom of the screen in nearly every window that allows you to instantly tell everyone what you’re doing. Users are capable of many viewing options as well. The main screen shows options for Groups, and you can view Friends tweets, your own, replies to you, Everyone’s and more. It’s easy to make searches for words, people nearby or latest trends. The main ‘Groups’ section can seem a little unorganized, and once you figure out what you want, the rest can feel like extra baggage.
There are many options in the main settings, as well. Users can adjust such settings as making links open in Safari, loading Tweets on launch, high-resolution images, and Auto-Correct. The color scheme can be changed as well, allowing you to adjust the mood according to how you like it.
If you’d like to just try it out, Twittelator has a demo version available. It has less options, but it will give a good preview.
Pros: Plenty of options, ease of use, well laid out, TwitPic is well-integrated
Cons: Touching the top of the screen does not immediately jump to the top, somewhat unorganized
Bottom Line: Twittelator Pro is a functional application with a bounty of options. It can seem unorganized but that is eclipsed by the sheer ease of use. This is definitely worth trying out.
